Causation of millenniums... Before you the electronic version of the historical - literary magazine «Pontic Memorials». Its purpose - to tell about the last and present of our southern territory, to show in unexpected point of view the connection of historical events with the present, to acquaint the readers with the little-known facts and documents. The idea of such editions is not new. In XIX century in many cities there are «Historical Bulletins», «Sheets...», «Almanacs...» and «Collections» which were issued by archaeological, historical and other societies or private persons. One of the most well known editions of XIX centuries on the South of Ukraine are «The memorials of the Odessa History and Antiquities Society», which were regularly issued during many years having the large historical importance and which have not lost to the urgency up to now. The editorial staff of a magazine «Pontic Memorials» would like to continue traditions of such editions, giving the readers an opportunity in a new fashion to look on, apparently, for a long time and well known historical events, to look at them in light of new researches and scientific discoveries, correctly to estimate and to feel a continuity of the phenomena in the life of past generations, in our life.
